In January of 2016 I joined the NFM Lending family. I am a part of a small team comprised of some of the most organized, experienced, motivated, and highly effective mortgage professionals I have had the pleasure of doing business with since I got my start in lending back in 2003. We work closely together as a team to deliver an excellent mortgage experience, in person, that leaves our clients not only willing, but actually excited to recommend us to their closest friends and family members.
Last year we helped over 200 families purchase new homes in the area, providing the full range of mortgage products, including jumbo, construction, renovation, VA, FHA, USDA, and many others. We are based in Richmond, but our company is based in Baltimore, and I feel very privileged to work for the 2015 "Best Midsized Company" in the region, per the Baltimore Sun: http://www.baltimoresun.com/business/jobs/topworkplaces-2015/bal-top-workplaces-2015-nfm-lending-story.html
I have worked for a variety of mortgage lenders, but none so far have shown the degree of talent I have found at NFM, with leadership that has shown a true commitment to excellence both with regard to customer experience and corporate culture. I feel I have found my true home here and look forward to serving the community in line with our company's strong values, while producing the type of results expected of the top performers in our field.

"Mark is very knowledgeable about lending. He provided my husband and I with a great deal of information on the lending process. He is also very responsive! Mark helped ease some of the stress associated with buying a house and we are very thanksful for that! "

"Working with Mark Horton and his team at NFM lending was an awesome experience. I am a Veteran purchasing a home for the first time. My family and I are also recent Miami to Richmond transplants. We had absolutely no guidance and where complete novices to this arena. Meeting Mark was a complete God send! From his thorough evaluations of the projected rate to his seemingly 24 hr on call attitude about the slightest questions or concerns we had as first time buyers. Mark goes above and beyond."

"Mark is a true professional and knows his stuff. He has made our home-buying experience a breeze. In conjunction with his pleasant manner, Mark is extremely knowledgeable and is a subject matter expert in lending. He will get you the best deal, and most importantly he really cares about his clients, and wants to ensure their informed, comfortable, and happy with the decisions they are making. I would refer him to anyone as they would be in good hands. Cheers! "

"Mark worked with me directly in an effort to raise my okay credit score to good credit so I had more options and a significantly better outcome during my home buying process. He explained everything to me and the reasons why steps were being taken. Once pre-approval was complete and I moved into the contract phase, Mark and his entire team that were involved were diligent, helpful and kind throughout the entire process. They were as happy and excited for me as I was to buy my first home! "
