LINTHICUM, MD, October 12, 2021 — NFM Lending is proud to announce that it has received three new Culture Excellence Awards by Top Workplaces USA for its exceptional company culture.

Among large companies, NFM was honored for its commitment to Employee Well-Being, ranking at #5, Remote Work, ranking at #2, and Professional Development

In addition to its main Top Workplaces distinction, Top Workplaces USA gives Culture Excellence awards and Culture Badges to companies that further achieve various milestones to create a positive environment for its employees.

“We were very excited to watch the live announcement by Top Workplaces USA of the winners for the Q4 Culture Excellence awards and find out we were recognized in three different categories,” said Vice President of Communications for NFM Lending, Gene DiPaula. “We work hard to make sure our employees are happy and we’re glad to see the survey results indicate that we’re doing a good job. It was especially nice to see us rank so high in employee well-being and remote work, two areas we have really focused on in the last 18 months.”

NFM Lending will add these new Culture Excellence Awards to the twelve previously awarded in 2021 for categories including Clued-In Leaders, Top Leaders, Communication, Innovation, Appreciation, Direction, Values, Empowering Employees, Compensation, Employee Value Prop, Formal Training, Top Managers, and Work-Life Flexibility. In addition, NFM also received Culture Badges to go to with the Culture Excellence awards in February 2021. Culture Badges go to companies ranking in the top 25% of the respective categories such as Strong Values and Open-Minded.

The Top Workplaces program distributes a survey to the employees of each nominated company, asking them to evaluate their workplaces. The survey asks participants to rank their companies on the quality of leadership, work-life balance, pay and benefits, and more.

NFM Lending prides itself on its remarkable culture. The company fills the employees’ work environment with encouragement and teamwork, building a positive workplace that rewards commitment and performance. Management also encourages employees to voice their questions and concerns directly to be addressed promptly and appropriately. Managers often surprise staff members for their birthdays. The company holds contests, holiday celebrations, and other initiatives to encourage collaboration and show employee appreciation. As remote work has become more prevalent in corporate culture, NFM Lending has embraced this change to further improve the work-life balance of its team.

In addition to these awards, NFM Lending is consistently recognized for its exceptional company culture. Other awards include: ‘Top Mortgage Employer’ by National Mortgage Professional Magazine; ‘Top Workplace’ by The Baltimore Sun and the Washington Post; ’50 Best Places to Work For’ by Mortgage Professional Magazine; and finalist in the “Best Places to Work” by Baltimore Business Journal. NFM Lending is proud of these accomplishments and each team member for their work to make NFM a top workplace.
