LINTHICUM, M.D., March 4th, 2013—NFM, Inc. is proud to announce that the Lutherville-Timonium Recreational Council (LTRC) Basketball Team 11 Philadelphia Warriors are now regular season and tournament champions.

The Philadelphia Warriors are a boys team aged 11-12 who practice and play in Lutherville-Timonium. They were regular season champions before they entered they played their championship game against the Baltimore Bullets. Although the Warriors were undefeated, the game was close with a final score of 36 to 34. The Bullets took an early lead and looked as though they might be the first team to defeat the Warriors this season. The Warriors remained patient and managed to keep pace with the Bullets by pulling together as a team and devising a good offensive and defensive strategy. They ended up pulling ahead of the other team, and when the Bullets weren’t able to make the shot that could have tied the game. Every team member made a substantial contribution to this win and the overall wins during the season.

Scott Menegatti, the lead coach, said, “The great thing about this team was that everyone seriously contributed to the team at multiple times during the season. A big thanks to all of the parents and my wife for your support bringing the kids to and from practice.”

The team record was 13-0 total, 9-0 during the regular season. Their scoring offense average was 34.3 points per game, and their team scoring defense average was 20.3 points per game. Every member of the team scored at least five baskets during the season.
