I jumped into the mortgage industry at the ripe age of 19. I went from a post-closing coordinator to a Mortgage Loan Processor. From there I moved to a Transaction Coordinator position. My experience and time in the industry led me to becoming a Licensed Junior Loan Officer. With the support of my family and work family I was able to excel into a Branch Operations Manager and Leadership role in a fast growing mortgage company. The Branch Operations Manager and Leadership role afforded me the opportunity and blessing of becoming a mom of 2 little boys. During this time I learned a lot about myself personally and expanded my knowledge of the mortgage industry as a whole. As my boys continue to grow, at a ridiculously fast pace, I realized that my passion for people and caring for others was being neglected. Although I am grateful for all of the knowledge and expertise I learned over the 2 years of management I missed the one-on-one interaction with people. I missed the hand holding, the decision making and giving my friends and neighbors someone to lean on. It is in my nature to care for people and I wanted that back again. Now, after starting this journey in mortgage in 2001, I am excited to go back to my roots and provide people with education, compassion and respect for who they are, where they are and where they are going in life. There is no greater feeling to me than helping those in need. My experience has taught me not only about connecting with people but what the process will be like for all involved from start to finish. I have knowledge of many loan programs including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA and VHDA. Being in management has taught me the ins and outs that some may not know about. To top it off, I have an amazing team with 30+ years experience combined. It is known that the greatest Loan Officers are the few that have seen it all. I am one of those few.
