LINTHICUM, M.D., March 4th, 2013—NFM, Inc. is proud to be celebrating their 15th anniversary in 2013.

The company was founded on March 3, 1998 by David Silverman and his wife Sandy. They started NFM, Inc. as a small brokerage shop with four loan officers in downtown Baltimore City. The company quickly matured into a full-fledged multi-state lender with licenses in 25 states. With the addition of our Retail Branch program in 2004, NFM, Inc. has grown to include approximately 19 branches and counting.  NFM, Inc. has over 200 employees with over a hundred people at their corporate office located in Linthicum, MD.

NFM, Inc. has prospered under David’s leadership. The company was been ranked for two consecutive years (2004 and 2005) on the INC 500 list of fastest growing private companies in the country; ranked by the Baltimore Business Journal as the 11th largest mortgage lending firm in the region in 2010; recognized by SmartCEO magazine as one of Baltimore’s 50 fastest growing companies in 2006; recognized by The Baltimore Sun as one of the Top Workplaces in 2012; and David was ranked one of the Top 100 CEOs in Baltimore in 2009 by SmartCEO magazine.

Recognizing that their success is dependent on not only their clients, but the communities around them, NFM, Inc. strives to give back to the community as much as possible. For each loan that is closed in Maryland, NFM, Inc. donates a portion of the proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore. They have rescued two cats, Tabby and Refi that live in their corporate office. From December to January, NFM, Inc. donated 93 boxes to troops overseas. They collected necessities, treats, and leisure items and sent them through the organization AnySoldier. Additionally, NFM, Inc. started a company-wide green initiative that promotes a paperless loan operation process that reduces paper use for both the company and consumer. These are just some of the ways NFM, Inc. has given back to the community and made an impact on the environment.
