LINTHICUM, MD, May 22, 2019 — NFM Lending is proud to announce it was named a finalist of the Best Places to Work 2019 by Baltimore Business Journal.

Every year, Baltimore Business Journal (BBJ) conducts a months-long nomination process and online survey of local companies. The survey was limited to employees in the Greater Baltimore area presently employed by the companies they rated. The BBJ explains the Best Places to Work as a “program [that] measures a wide range of research-validated workplace factors that impact employee engagement and satisfaction. Best Places to Work foster a workplace where employees willingly go above and beyond in their work, advocate for the organization and intend to stay into the future.” Finalists are placed into one of four categories based on the number of employees: micro, small, midsize, and large. Only 40 companies were named a finalist; NFM Lending was one of ten in the large category.

“Every great relationship in life starts with listening,” said Jan Ozga, President of NFM Lending. “This holds true, even in business. I am proud that NFM has made employee engagement and communication critical and fundamental aspects to developing our processes and culture. The greatest honor any company could receive is having their own employees recognize they are happy where they work. NFM is extremely fortunate to be comprised of so many talented individuals who treat this company as if it were their own. We spend massive amounts of time asking what we can do better and then following through by taking constructive action. If you want to succeed in business, start by listening to those that work for you. Your employees will lead you to better results, if you let them.”

NFM Lending prides itself on its exceptional culture. The company has an open-door policy which allows an open line of communication between management and staff. Employees are encouraged to voice their questions and concerns directly to management, so they can be addressed promptly and correctly. In addition to a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, NFM Lending Loan Originators receive ongoing support and assistance from qualified support and operations staff, and opportunities for trips and giveaways.

In addition to this most recent award, NFM Lending has been recognized many times for its exceptional company culture. It was recently named a Top 50 Best Companies to Work For by Mortgage Executive Magazine for the fifth time. It has also been recognized as one of The Baltimore Sun’s Top Work Places in the Baltimore Area for seven consecutive years; one of the Washington Post’s Top Work Places in the Washington, D.C. area for four years in a row; and a Top Mortgage Employer by National Mortgage Professional Magazine four times. NFM Lending is proud of each member of its team, and the work they do to make NFM a Top Workplace.
